Mechanical Engineer
About the role
The engineering and design division responsible for CVN Habitability Fluid Systems and Ventilation. This team designs vital systems—including HVAC, refrigeration, drains, and plumbing—for the Ford-class aircraft carriers. The department handles several critical engineering responsibilities for the US Navy's massive aircraft carriers.
Responsibilities
- System Design & Layout: Developing product model arrangements and construction drawings for piping and ventilation networks.
- Habitability fluid systems: Designing refrigeration, potable water, and service steam piping.
- Trade Support: Assisting the production floor by resolving complex design and installation problems onboard the ships.
- Planning, design, and technical execution of mid-life nuclear-powered aircraft carrier refueling.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship.
- Active Clearance.
- BS in Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience.
Additional Information
2 openings available. Each in different department.
Pay And Benefits
- Pay Range: $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
- 1 step interview process.
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
