This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence. In the role of Mechanical EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
Responsibilities
- Cook up mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects
- Handle routine mechanical engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures
- Write and polish mechanical specifications, and pick mechanical systems and devices
- Use engineering software to calculate HVAC loads, conduct energy analyses, and choose mechanical equipment
- Put together construction documents for HVAC and plumbing designs, including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Work solo on small projects, or team up with more experienced engineers on bigger ones
- Watch over work of Mechanical CAD Technicians, and coordinate design of assigned projects with architects and other engineers
- Inspect construction contracts, resolve conflicts, and handle other duties as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis and Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate (candidates without EIT will be titled "Coordinator" and expected to obtain it for career progression)
- Healthcare, Science and Technology, and/or Civic facilities experience
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)
