Mechanical Drafter/Designer (Autodesk Inventor)

About the role
As a Drafter/Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating design concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans using Autodesk Inventor software with Vault Library.
Responsibilities
- Develop and produce detailed technical drawings and plans, including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings based on design specifications and project requirements.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand design concepts, address design challenges, and ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Review and modify existing drawings, revising and updating them based on feedback to ensure all changes are accurately reflected in the final documents.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, adhering to industry standards, building codes, and other relevant regulations in all drafting work.
- Mentor and guide junior drafters, providing technical guidance and support, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Maintain organized project documentation, ensuring all drawings, files, and revisions are accurately stored and readily accessible.
- Stay updated on industry trends and software advancements, continuously improving skills and knowledge by keeping abreast of new technologies and techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a drafter, detailer, and 3D modeler.
- Proficiency in CAD software: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit (is a plus), and Vault.
- Strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of Autodesk Inventor CAD Software.
- Technical drawing and blueprint reading.
- 3D modeling and visualization.
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Experience designing products for the fixture and modular wall industry is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment with normal daytime working hours. A flexible onsite/remote work hybrid schedule will be considered if needed. The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
