We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Designer with proficiency in Revit to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical systems design (HVAC) and will be responsible for creating detailed designs for mechanical equipment and systems for a variety of projects. Responsibilities
- Designing and drafting detailed mechanical systems for various construction projects using Revit.
- Collaborating with the project team to develop innovative and efficient design solutions.
- Reviewing and analyzing project specifications, and ensuring designs meet all necessary requirements.
- Conducting detailed calculations to establish installation standards and specifications.
- Inspecting installations and observing operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications, and safety standards.
- Working closely with other designers, drafters, and engineers to ensure coordinated design systems.
- Providing technical advice to project staff when needed.
- Continually updating knowledge and staying current with new technology and equipment.
- Ensuring that all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Participating in project meetings and providing updates on progress and challenges.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience HVAC/mechanical systems design.
- Proficiency in Revit is a must. Knowledge of other CAD software will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and construction methods.
- Excellent technical drawing skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
