What You’ll Do
- Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for components and assemblies
- Support new product development from prototype through production launch
- Collaborate with Industrial Design and Engineering teams to translate customer needs into innovative product solutions
- Participate in technical design reviews and engineering discussions
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Support tooling estimates, cost analysis, and manufacturability improvements
- Work closely with factory engineering teams to optimize product quality, cost, and production efficiency
- Participate in DFMEA activities, strength/fatigue analysis, and product validation testing
Required Qualifications
- Average degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with plastic injection molding and consumer product design
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Experience
- Consumer product development experience
- Experience working alongside Industrial Design teams
- Familiarity with DFMA principles and tolerance stack analysis
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
- Experience with metal fabrication and plastic manufacturing processes
- Passion for hands-on design, building, or mechanical hobbies/projects
