Mechanical Designer - Experienced

Benchmark Group is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Designer to join its Project Team of Choice. The ideal candidate is a motivated self‑starter with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, a creative problem‑solver with attention to detail, and a dependable team player committed to achieving excellence.

Responsibilities

• Utilize mechanical design concepts to produce full sets of construction documents for commercial building projects.
• Train and collaborate with licensed professionals on a team‑based environment.
• Perform a variety of design tasks, including creating design documents and detailed drawings.
• Design and develop construction documents using Revit for multiple project types.
• Efficiently complete sophisticated prototypical designs for various building types with minimal supervision.
• Work within budget guidelines and client standards in a progressive manner.
• Potentially travel minimally as project needs dictate.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of applicable work experience and demonstrated skill with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 1 year of design‑industry experience, or any combination of education and work experience equivalent to 5 years.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Specialized experience in mechanical design and creating design documents.
