Mechanical Designer - Entry Level

Summary

The Mechanical Designer will utilize mechanical design concepts to produce full sets of construction documents for commercial building projects. Designers will train and work with licensed professionals in a collaborative team to perform a variety of design tasks. A basic understanding of Revit is preferred for entry‑level positions, while a strong understanding of Revit is required for more experienced roles. This position may require minimal travel.

Responsibilities

• Produce full sets of construction documents for commercial building projects using mechanical design concepts.
• Collaborate with licensed professionals and team members on design tasks.
• Develop and refine designs in Revit (and/or AutoCAD) to meet project requirements.
• Participate in training and mentorship activities within the project team.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure design excellence throughout project phases.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical work experience, mechanical college or technical coursework, or a combination of both.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 1 year of applicable work experience with demonstrated skill in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Basic understanding of Revit for entry‑level positions; strong understanding of Revit required for more experienced positions.
• Ability to travel minimally as needed for project requirements.
