Mechanical Designer/Engineer

About the role

The Mid-level Mechanical Engineer serves in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment. Responsibilities include designing mechanical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovations, providing technical leadership for construction drawings and specifications, conducting load/energy calculations, developing reports and studies, and preparing detailed design documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC system designs based on project scope or client requests
• Perform load/energy calculations using software like Trace 700, IES, etc.
• Write and edit project specifications
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
• Conduct existing building and documentation of HVAC systems
• Provide construction administration services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• 4+ years of hands-on building design experience
• Knowledge of HVAC system design
• Understanding of codes, standards, and design guidelines

Skills

• Excellent work ethic and attitude
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead and work as part of a team
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office

Benefits

Compensation range: $80,000 - $105,000, based on experience
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000
