Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Design custom mechanical systems, machine components, and production equipment.
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs), layouts, and fabrication documentation.
- Work with engineers and manufacturing personnel to improve product designs and manufacturability.
- Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and project meetings.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on purchased components and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
- Ability to create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience supporting custom machinery, industrial equipment, automation systems, or precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
Pay
$75,000 - $100,000 per year
