Mechanical Designer

The Purpose

The Mechanical Designer is responsible for providing support in the creation of technical drawings and plans for building and manufacturing exhibit and tradeshow booths. This position uses AutoCAD and Inventor to provide support with preparing layout, drawings, and diagrams. This position requires the individual to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and with team members.

The Person

• Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Construction background helpful
• Must be able to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and problem solve
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Microsoft Office Suite proficient
• Experience in 3D modeling using Autodesk, Inventor, SolidWorks or:Autodesk FusionSiemens SolidEdgePTC CreoOnShape
• Knowledge of cabinet and metal fabrication helpful

Pay

Salary Range: $25.00 -$30.00 per hour
