Responsibilities

Develop mechanical designs for water heaters and components to support new product development.
Create, modify, and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
Manage design revisions and documentation control using SolidWorks PDM.
Execute multiple design paths in parallel to support aggressive development timelines and evolving project requirements.
Collaborate closely with project leadership to align designs with technical direction and program goals.
Support design reviews and technical discussions by preparing models, drawings, and related documentation.
Adhere to engineering standards, best practices, and internal design processes throughout development activities.

Requirements

Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design, including parts, assemblies, and drawings.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks PDM for document control and version management.
Strong understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles.
Able to manage multiple design tasks in a fast-paced development environment.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with configurations and large assemblies.
Ability to adjust and design sheet metal using SolidWorks.

Skills

Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks PDM for document control and version management.
Strong understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles.
Able to manage multiple design tasks in a fast-paced development environment.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
