Mechanical Designer
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical designs for water heaters and components to support new product development.
- Create, modify, and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
- Manage design revisions and documentation control using SolidWorks PDM.
- Execute multiple design paths in parallel to support aggressive development timelines and evolving project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project leadership to align designs with technical direction and program goals.
- Support design reviews and technical discussions by preparing models, drawings, and related documentation.
- Adhere to engineering standards, best practices, and internal design processes throughout development activities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design, including parts, assemblies, and drawings.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks PDM for document control and version management.
- Strong understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles.
- Able to manage multiple design tasks in a fast-paced development environment.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with configurations and large assemblies.
- Ability to adjust and design sheet metal using SolidWorks.
Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks PDM for document control and version management.
- Strong understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles.
- Able to manage multiple design tasks in a fast-paced development environment.

Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
- Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
