About the Opportunity

We are representing a well-regarded, multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, and interior design firm with deep roots in the Wisconsin market. This firm brings together a diverse team of architects, engineers, and designers under one roof, delivering cohesive, full-service project execution to clients across a wide range of building types and sectors. They've earned consistent recognition as a top workplace in their region—a reflection of an internal culture that genuinely invests in its people, from junior staff to senior practitioners. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team known for its collaborative spirit, mentorship culture, and commitment to professional growth. Whether you are a fresh graduate looking for your first real design environment or a mid-career professional ready to deepen your expertise, this firm has the infrastructure and the appetite to support your development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate closely with architectural and engineering departments to produce integrated, well-coordinated drawing packages
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely completion aligned with overall project milestones
  • Assist with construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, conducting site visits, and preparing observation reports
  • Communicate effectively with internal project teams, clients, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including internal training sessions and continuing education opportunities
  • Support senior engineers and project leads with technical calculations, system selections, and equipment specifications as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related field (preferred; strong candidates without a degree will be considered)
  • 0-5 years of experience in HVAC system design or mechanical engineering within an architectural or engineering firm; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Familiarity with HVAC system design principles, load calculations, and equipment selection—formal experience helpful but not required for motivated candidates
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn industry-standard design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar)
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, coordinated technical drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working in a team-oriented, multi-discipline environment
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a genuine drive to grow professionally
  • EIT certification (or progress toward PE licensure) is a plus, but not required

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Join a 4-time award-winning Top Workplace that has earned its reputation through intentional culture-building, not company talking points

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and six paid holidays
  • Professional development stipend and education reimbursement

  • Weekly in-office training sessions (lunch provided)
