About the role
Own the safety of new and existing Tesla Energy products.
Drive the design of safety-critical components from conception to mass production.
Responsibilities
- Perform FMEA against core safety requirements to identify potential failure causes.
- Develop and execute safety test validation plans in collaboration with test engineering teams.
- Analyze test results and drive design improvements based on data review.
- Promote safety and efficiencies in product design.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability and produce a closed-loop safety case.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of product design experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling, preferably CATIA V5/6.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
- Experience with FMEA/hazard analysis and safety-critical systems.
- Collaborative team player with strong technical communication skills.
- Familiarity with battery cell manufacturing and design is a plus.
