Shape the future of global energy innovation in Greenville, SC as a Mechanical Design Engineer (Rotor & Unit Assembly).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engineering liaison for manufacturing teams, supporting rotor and unit assembly operations.
- Review, evaluate, and develop technical solutions for manufacturing issues as they arise.
- Analyze non-conforming or deviant hardware using: Hand calculations, CAD modeling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), internal engineering evaluation tools.
- Conduct technical assessments to support rework dispositions and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support defect reduction initiatives through enhanced engineering definitions and improved manufacturing processes.
- Update and revise engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation as needed.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide engineering recommendations to support production objectives.
- Ensure designs and manufacturing processes align with industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency with CAD software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing methods, and industry standards.
- Ability to evaluate technical issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Greenville, SC during first-shift hours.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and wearing required PPE, including safety vest and steel-toe footwear.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or assembly operations.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and methodologies.
- Experience interpreting and revising engineering drawings and specifications.
- Background in design liaison engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering.
- Experience within heavy industrial, energy, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
