About the role

The Design Engineer II position at ENTRUST Solutions Group involves engaging in a variety of engineering tasks, supporting project plans for complex projects within the gas business unit. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in the pipeline industry or a related engineering or consulting industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design packages for complex projects, contributing calculations, drawings, and documentation that meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure design packages align with project goals and specifications.
  • Support both small and large projects, taking ownership of discipline-specific design work on simpler efforts and assisting with technical analysis on more complex ones.
  • Work through design challenges, communicate impacts to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, and build proficiency in CAD and engineering tools.
  • Ensure quality by reviewing your own work and participating in peer and QA/QC checks.
  • Coordinate key information through project leaders and occasionally support field activities, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in the pipeline industry or a related engineering or consulting industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with gas facility work.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
