Mechanical Design Engineer – Automated Test Systems

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom automated test fixtures and electromechanical test systems.
• Create mechanical designs, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Develop and modify C# applications used to control and interface with automated test equipment.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, motion control, and data acquisition hardware.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and software issues to improve reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and production implementation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for existing test systems and future product platforms.
• Provide occasional support for new product design and packaging projects.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing automated test fixtures, custom machinery, or electromechanical equipment.
• Experience programming in C#.
• Familiarity with mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, sensors, and motion systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
• CAD experience (AutoCAD or similar 3D CAD software).
