Mechanical Construction Project Engineer (New Mexico or Texas)

About the role

An established commercial construction company is seeking an experienced estimator to join its dynamic team in Seattle, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a proven track record in preparing and reviewing estimates for commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review conceptual, budgetary, and hard bid estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for various scopes such as structural, electrical, plumbing, and finishes.
• Review drawings, specifications, subcontractor proposals, and bid documents to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Maintain and improve estimating standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Work closely with operations and preconstruction teams to ensure seamless project transitions.
• Participate in client meetings and support business development efforts when needed.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Strong background estimating structural, electrical, plumbing, and finish scopes.
• Previous experience leading or managing estimating teams.
• Experience with commercial construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

• Base Salary: $125,000–$160,000
