Responsibilities
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and document control for the mechanical scope
- Serving as a liaison between the project team and the general contractor, design team, and trade partners
- Aiding in the procurement of major equipment and materials
- Tracking change orders, cost impacts, and schedule considerations
- Attending and participating in jobsite meetings and field walks
- Supporting the completion of buyout and closeout activities
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical construction (HVAC, piping, plumbing, or MEP)
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or large ground-up projects
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working both in the field and the office
- A desire to advance to a Project Manager role
Qualifications
- A degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred, but practical experience carries real weight.
Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management and leadership abilities
- Technical knowledge of mechanical systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
