Mechanical Construction Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Managing RFIs, submittals, and document control for the mechanical scope
• Serving as a liaison between the project team and the general contractor, design team, and trade partners
• Aiding in the procurement of major equipment and materials
• Tracking change orders, cost impacts, and schedule considerations
• Attending and participating in jobsite meetings and field walks
• Supporting the completion of buyout and closeout activities

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical construction (HVAC, piping, plumbing, or MEP)
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or large ground-up projects
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working both in the field and the office
• A desire to advance to a Project Manager role

Qualifications

• A degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred, but practical experience carries real weight.
