We are a rapidly growing, high speed engineering services company with product design, Automation integration and test development service offerings. We work in the medical, mil/aero and high-end industrial spaces. The work is exciting and challenging every day. Our customers range from fortune 50 companies to startups and across many projects. You can work on satellites, trains, planes, IoT devices to life saving medical devices all in the same week! We are a small team accomplishing great things and are looking for experienced engineers to join our tight knit & growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Develop mechanical systems and components with an emphasis on automation, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Project Support: Work within a project team, teamwork, schedule adherence, execution, start-up, commissioning, owner interaction, qualifications
  • System integration: Identify and implement automation systems including the mechanical design, electrical controls design and possibly programming if experienced.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and production staff, to integrate automation solutions.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs to meet project goals and specifications.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage automation projects from concept to deployment, adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Leadership: Provide SME Leadership in designated area/field. Depending on assignment, this may be product design, machine design, robotics integration, equipment assembly and testing.
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain technical documentation, including design schematics, process instructions, and operation manuals.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and automation-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on automation systems.
  • Technical Skills: High Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools. Knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, and control systems. Familiarity with industrial automation standards and safety regulations. Experience with material handling systems, actuators, sensors, and pneumatic systems. Machining experience is a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification in automation or robotics engineering. Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, or machine learning applications in automation. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
