Mechanical Assembler Level 2

About the role

This position is available for the Mechanical Assembler Level 2 role within the Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit. Based in Wendell, NC, this position involves assembling Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards, and Breakers.
• Record job transactions, read Bill of Materials (BOMs), follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
• Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
• 1+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
• Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values.
• Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Able to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
• Able to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• SAP and Salesforce experience preferred.

Skills

• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Pay

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. The pay range for this position is $20.36 per hour.

Schedule

Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
