Job Responsibilities
- Perform simple fitting and/or mechanical type assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units using a variety of hand tools, power tools, or equipment
- Operate cranes and hoists or lift tables
- Perform basic inspection to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards
- Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel
- Keep accurate production records/logs etc.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams
- Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- No minimum education required
- No prior experience required
- Ability to read tape measure and blueprints
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts/mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit up
- Ability to use hand to finger, handle, and feel
- Ability to climb and balance
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to see, talk, and hear
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.93 - $25.76/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
