Mechanical Apprentice – Commercial

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist Mechanics with the prefabrication and installation of commercial mechanical equipment and systems, including heating, venting, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Aid in material handling activities throughout the jobsite.
• Keep a clean work area and maintain good condition of tools.
• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures outlined in the Safety Handbook.
• Adhere to all company and site-specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• May be assigned other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled or registered to enroll in The Sack Company Mechanical Apprenticeship program.
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction methods.
• Productive under both heavy and limited supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent level of education.

• Able and willing to work in cold and hot temperature conditions.
