Mechanical and Plant Engineering Designer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Design and technical specification of machines and components for our standard equipment
• Preparation of installation drawings, plant layouts, and detailed designs
• Calculation and design of machine elements and assemblies
• Maintenance of bills of materials and documentation
• Coordination of documentation for standard equipment
• Support in the preparation of risk assessments in accordance with the machinery directive
• Technical coordination with internal departments and suppliers
• Technical evaluation and selection of purchased parts and supplier quotes
• Supporting projects from design through manufacturing and commissioning

Requirements

• A completed degree (Technician, Bachelor, Master, Engineer, or equivalent) in the mechanical or plant engineering field
• Experience in the design and, ideally, the sizing of machines or equipment
• Knowledge of calculating and dimensioning of machine components
• Strong technical understanding of the functional relationships within complex machines
• Structured, independent, and responsible work ethic
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with CAD software, ideally Inventor and AutoCAD
• Proficiency with MS Office programs
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Class B driver’s license preferred
