Mechanical and Piping Insulator

Position Overview

RQ Construction is looking for experienced Mechanical and Piping Insulators. All work will be performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with applicable Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates specific to the project site.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation on mechanical equipment, duct systems, and piping to regulate temperature and improve system performance.
• Ensure all work meets applicable codes, specifications, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimum education.
• Required Completion of a Union, private (in-house), military, or trade school apprenticeship program preferred.
• 4 or more years of field or trade work experience as a journey-level mechanical piping insulator in a commercial, or facilities operations setting; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

• Pay Range: $30.00-$45.00 per hour.

• Paid Time Off: 1 week vacation plus accrued sick time.
