Mechanic/ Turf Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and evaluations of pre-owned equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues accurately
• Complete repairs and refurbishments including: Engine and driveline service, Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repairs, Electrical system diagnostics, Deck and cutting system repairs
• Completion of required safety checks
• Document condition reports and repair recommendations for each unit
• Work closely with manager to prioritize units for resale
• Maintain accurate service records and usage of parts
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
• Safely and effectively, use all service and repair tools: hoist, welder, test equipment, pressure washer, compressors, power tools, etc.
• Safely use forklift
• Work as a team in successfully completing the job
• Perform other duties as necessary and requested to successfully complete the job

• Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Technical degree (2yr.) or equivalent experience required.
• Strong knowledge of: Gas and diesel engines, Hydraulic systems, and Electrical diagnostics
• Skills and competencies: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability, Attention to detail and quality workmanship, Ability to work independently and manage workload, Time management and prioritization skills, Team-oriented with good communication skills, Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
