About the Role

This entry-level position is responsible for the timely execution of gas turbine engine assembly and disassembly at the depot level in a team environment. You will provide input and assist in creating and improving procedures for depot repairs and inspection processes, ensuring high-quality gas turbine refurbishment and overhaul through precision and attention to detail. Training will be provided for candidates with the desired experience and/or skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform disassembly and assembly of gas turbine components and modules.
• Inspect individual engine modules and components and assess condition.
• Inspect and clean engine piece parts and assess condition.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the utilization of common, precise measuring, and specialty tools.
• Follow detailed technical instructions and sign off on work accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, company leadership, and customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical background in automotive, heavy truck, and/or heavy equipment mechanics.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
• Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• US work authorization is required; the company will not sponsor work-authorized visas.
• Successful candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills demonstrated by past experience in automotive repair, jet engine repair, or other engine-related tear-down or maintenance.
• Additional formal or college-level technical training in a related field of study.
• Mechanical competency with Aero-derivative Gas Turbines is highly preferred.
• Aviation Powerplant License.
• GE or equivalent Familiarization and up to Level 4 training on LM2500, LM6000, or CF6 flight turbines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of Aero gas turbine maintenance and operations.
• Demonstrated prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding time constraints.
• Strong command of English, both written and oral, to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Ability to work as part of a highly skilled team of professionals.
