Ryder is hiring in Suncook, New Hampshire — offering a technician career with weekly pay, excellent benefits, and state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools for heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
Pay
Hourly pay: $38.60 per hour
- $100 certification bonus for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
- Sign-on bonus: $3,500
- Yearly merit pay increases

Schedule
Sunday–Wednesday, 4 × 10-hour days
Second shift: 2:00 pm – 1:00 am

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification (preferred)
- Post-secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
- Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Basic diagnostics and repairs (AC and electrical systems)
- Three or more years of relevant work experience (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred; must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Proficiency with computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Must pass:
- Ryder drug test
- DOT physical
- Ryder road test
- Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
Responsibilities
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including:
- Standard vehicle maintenance
- Preventive maintenance
- Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
- Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Replaces defective components as instructed
- Works unsupervised on most tasks
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Utilizes Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Works in accordance with federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (e.g., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Acts as a mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Demonstrates ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
- Completes additional training:
- SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT220)
- Complete 2 OEM online diagnostic scan tool software courses (predominant OEM of fleet mix completed within 365 days)
- Provides support duties as required, including Service Island support
