About the role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Compactor/Container Repair Technician to handle the heavy-duty maintenance, troubleshooting, and rebuilding of our industrial compactors and waste equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fix & Rebuild: Diagnose, repair, and rebuild company compactors, containers, and specialized waste equipment.
- Electrical & Hydraulics: Work safely around 3-phase high-voltage electrical apparatuses, set hydraulic pressures, and optimize cycle times.
- Welding & Tools: Perform minor welding and fabrication as needed. You will maintain and utilize your own set of tools to get the job done.
- Field Coordination: Track your parts and labor costs, manage standard inventory levels, and coordinate major account repair requests to keep our clients running smoothly.
- Safety First: Follow all company and federal/state safety regulations to ensure a safe workspace every day.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven background in repairing heavy equipment, industrial compactors, or complex mechanical systems.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of basic electrical components (especially 3-phase high voltage) and hydraulic systems. Minor welding capability is a huge plus.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, and you must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within six (6) months of employment (we will help you meet relevant safety criteria).
- Education: High school diploma or GED; a technical school diploma or certificate is highly desired.
- Physical Drive: Must be comfortable working in a loud, active industrial environment (hot/cold weather, lifting/pulling up to 50 lbs, climbing, and kneeling).
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- On-Call: Must be available for occasional emergency weekend calls.
- Pay Rate: Starting at $22.00 – $24.00/hour.
- Overtime: Consistent 50-hour work week (gives you a steady 10 hours of time-and-a-half overtime pay every week!).
