Mechanic-Salina

About the role

The primary role of the Mechanic is to process all work orders for customer repairs, as well as servicing and repairing equipment. The range of equipment includes Stihl power equipment, primarily 2-cycle handheld units. Applicants must demonstrate the ability and knowledge required for this position, including a minimum of three years of related professional experience and good customer communication skills. Stihl certification is preferred but will be provided through training as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of 2-cycle small engines
• Basic computer skills to access information online
• Provide high-quality repair services on all work orders
• Ensure the safe use of equipment and tools
• Complete all warranty paperwork in a timely manner
• Communicate special order parts for all work orders
• Complete service work in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to provide a safe environment
• Possess strong communication skills as customer interaction may be frequent
• May be required to cross-train and perform other duties
• Ability to participate in the equipment sales process is highly desired

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of related professional experience
• Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to walk, reach, climb ladders, and bend to perform job duties
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
