Mechanic- RH

Responsibilities

• Efficiently construct and fabricate industrial HVAC units.
• This involves assembling, positioning, and connecting components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, ductwork, and thermostats according to specifications and blueprints.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning systems promptly and effectively.
• This involves troubleshooting electrical components, identifying refrigerant leaks, repairing or replacing faulty parts such as motors or compressors, and recalibrating controls to restore functionality.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of air conditioning systems.
• This includes cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting and replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and testing system controls.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a construction/fabrication environment.
• Previous experience as an HVAC technician or air conditioning mechanic preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems and components.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Able to use hand and power tools and to read a tape measure.
• Able to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Able to pay close attention to detail and maintain high standards of quality workmanship.

Special Skills

• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand and work for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
