Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair various types of equipment and machinery.
• Perform parts replacement, alignment, balancing, and installation tasks.
• Understand and apply the operating principles of the equipment and its role in the process/factory.
• Optimize equipment performance based on its function and application.
• Perform a variety of joining and fabrication activities, including welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering.
• Weld carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes.
• Weld stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a mechanic in the Manufacturing industry or a related field.
• Proven experience in inspection, parts replacement, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment.
• Comprehensive understanding of the operating principles of equipment and its role in the process/factory.
• Proficiency in optimizing equipment performance based on its function and application.
• Skilled in a variety of joining and fabrication activities, including welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering.
• Experience in welding carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes.
• Experience in welding stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications would be an added advantage.

$33.78 - $38.31 per hour
