Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair various types of equipment and machinery.
- Perform parts replacement, alignment, balancing, and installation tasks.
- Understand and apply the operating principles of the equipment and its role in the process/factory.
- Optimize equipment performance based on its function and application.
- Perform a variety of joining and fabrication activities, including welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering.
- Weld carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes.
- Weld stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a mechanic in the Manufacturing industry or a related field.
- Proven experience in inspection, parts replacement, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment.
- Comprehensive understanding of the operating principles of equipment and its role in the process/factory.
- Proficiency in optimizing equipment performance based on its function and application.
- Skilled in a variety of joining and fabrication activities, including welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering.
- Experience in welding carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes.
- Experience in welding stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications would be an added advantage.
