Pay Range: $27.69 - $38.07 Hourly
Responsibilities
- Complete quality preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all company-owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
- Perform lead mechanic duties as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to OEM, DOT, and company specifications.
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components, including refrigerated units, diesel engines, transmissions, axles, and other systems.
- Assist shop personnel to foster a cohesive and learning-centered environment.
- Perform tire maintenance, including repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification.
- Test drive equipment if certified.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Provide daily oversight to assigned mechanics to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.
- Guide mechanics on diagnostics and repair processes/procedures.
- Proactively assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of related experience and/or training.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of training and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, complete tags, and fill out repair orders.
- Ability to use and learn diagnostic software for tractors/trailers.
- Excellent computer skills.
