Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose, examine, and investigate vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
- Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
- Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
- Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.
Qualifications
- Talent Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.
- Required Qualifications: Automotive technician experience only (not bus or diesel), ASE Master Technician certification (current), minimum of 10 years of automotive technician experience, currently working as a technician or recently active in the field, advanced diagnostic skills, own a full set of tools and diagnostic equipment, steady work history (no frequent job-hopping), clean driving record, ability and willingness to work second shift (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM), experience with Ford, Dodge, and Ram vehicles, resides in or near the San Fernando Valley (preferred).
Pay
Starting pay rate: $37.65/hour
