About the role

The Mechanic, Instrumentation is responsible for the maintenance of mill-wide electrical equipment, including preventive and routine maintenance. You will plan, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all established safety rules, company policies and procedures, and recognized practices.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial control systems and related devices, including DCS systems.
• Install control and distribution apparatus, including switches, relays, circuit breakers, and panels.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install control valves, pressure transmitters, and flow indication devices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in various conditions and temperatures, both indoors and outdoors.
