The Mechanic I, Utilities position at R&D Partners involves working closely with Quality, Engineering, and Operations groups to ensure strict compliance with GMP guidelines. Responsibilities include maintaining and performing corrective, preventative maintenance on aseptic Formulation/Filling, Packaging, and support equipment, providing recommendations for spare parts, and supporting troubleshooting and optimization of equipment.Responsibilities
- Works closely with Quality, Engineering and Operations groups to ensure strict compliance with GMP guidelines at all times.
- Maintains and performs corrective, preventative maintenance on aseptic Formulation/Filling, Packaging, and support equipment (autoclaves, parts washers, etc…).
- Maintains and provides recommendations for equipment spare parts.
- Supports other departments/areas to troubleshoot, test, repair, and optimize equipment.
- Participates in the continuous improvement efforts within the site Maintenance Program (including reliability).
Requirements
- A high school diploma with 1+ years’ relevant industry experience or an associate’s degree in relevant technical discipline with 0+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance disciplines; Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in regard to repair to Utility equipment and responding to alarms at the site.
- Exposure to control systems such as PAS, BAS, PLC, and/or Automation systems.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot systems in an industrial environment required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with 1+ years’ relevant industry experience or associate’s degree in relevant technical discipline with 0+ years of experience OR equivalent.
Skills
- Knowledge of maintenance disciplines.
- Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude for repair to Utility equipment.
- Experience with control systems such as PAS, BAS, PLC, and/or Automation systems.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.
