Mechanic Hatchery Level B

About the role

The role involves repairing, programming, inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and adjusting equipment and machines to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities include executing work orders, performing preventative maintenance and repairs for all hatchery-related equipment, detecting potential mechanical and electrical issues, and maintaining detailed written records.

Responsibilities

• Execute work orders and perform preventative maintenance and repair for all hatchery related equipment.
• Detect and respond to potential mechanical and electrical problems, implementing solutions and maintaining written records.
• Conduct daily inspections of hatchery equipment, including boiler room, and respond to breakdowns.
• Coordinate the use of proper resources to address problems and adhere to safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures and process safety management.
• Maintain required written records and reports for work performed, corrective actions, and parts management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training in mechanics, and experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with 3-phase electric, plumbing, HVAC, and controls.
• Able to handle a variety of routine and advanced mechanical tasks.

Qualifications

Must have a strong skill set including welding, cutting, light electrical and plumbing skills. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
