Mechanic - Field Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking knowledgeable, customer-focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join the Crown team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
• Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
• Maintain a service van and its inventory.
• Process paperwork after completion of each job.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
• Less than 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow through.
• Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of testing equipment preferred.
• Industry-related training is preferred.
