About the role
Maintains and operates equipment to ensure proper facility conditions. Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and boilers. Assures compliance with healthcare, federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operates and regulates HVAC computer systems
- Maintains and adjusts air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
- Performs preventive maintenance on boilers and central plant equipment
- Reads and interprets blueprints for installation and repair of equipment
- Repairs and maintains plumbing fixtures and performs routine maintenance on electrical circuits
- Inspects and repairs life safety components and unclogs drains
- Removes water samples, applies chemical tests, and applies chemicals as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Organizational skills
- Verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Strong grammar and spelling abilities
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Follows verbal instructions effectively
- Keyboarding skills
- Proficient with computers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in maintenance, operation, and repair of building mechanical systems
- Knowledge of medical gas systems and Building Automation Systems
- Driver's license
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
Skills
- Knowledge of medical gas systems including medical air pumps, medical vacuum pumps, bulk oxygen, nitrous oxide, nitrogen, and backup systems
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems and Computerized Maintenance Management systems
