Job Description

Stepan is seeking a Maintenance Tech/Electrician to join their team in Columbus, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general facility equipment maintenance for mechanical/electrical equipment (ex. reactors, vacuum pumps, steam boiler, oil heaters, air compressors, etc.)
• Perform general facility equipment basic troubleshooting and repairs for mechanical equipment (ex. replacing motors, changing motor bearings, replacing a valve, etc.)
• Perform any emergency repair activity assigned by the Maintenance Planner or the Maintenance Supervisor
• Perform equipment calibrations
• Provide off-shift plant support as part of the on-call maintenance rotation schedule within six months of starting the position

Qualifications

• 1 – 3 Years’ experience as an industrial electrician
• Knowledge in maintaining and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Mechanical troubleshooting and installation are not required but preferred
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

Education

• High School Diploma – Preferred
• 2 Years Technical Degree
