Mechanic
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or performance issues.
- Diagnose problems using testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, brake service, and tire rotations.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems in a timely and accurate manner.
- Understand steering, suspension, and mechanical systems.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure it operates properly and meets safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair notes, and parts usage documentation.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
- Communicate repair needs, timelines, and recommendations clearly to supervisors, service advisors, or customers.
- Stay current on new tools, systems, and repair techniques.
Qualifications
- Technical training in automotive, diesel, or equipment repair preferred.
- Previous mechanic experience in a shop, fleet, dealership, or industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and repair software effectively.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to be on time and dependable.
- A positive attitude is a must.

Physical Requirements
- This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and working in varying temperatures and shop conditions.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures are always required.
