Responsibilities
- Perform basic welding tasks
- Repair, overhaul, and replace major truck and automobile components
- Communicate with team members about broken equipment, necessary repairs, timelines, and costs
- Service equipment upon return from job sites
- Make major and minor repairs to equipment
- Maintain log books of repairs
- Complete required company training, including safety training
- Perform administrative and lineman duties as needed
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must meet the requirements for Mechanic level I
- Skilled in mechanical operations including welding, vehicle, and small equipment repair
- CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain CDL permit within 60 days of hire
- Ability to follow through on tasks
- Possess a customer service attitude
- Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to learn our standard processes and procedures
- Desire to learn and commitment to doing quality work while prioritizing safety
- Will be required to travel to job sites to perform repairs
Qualifications
