Responsibilities

  • Perform basic welding tasks
  • Repair, overhaul, and replace major truck and automobile components
  • Communicate with team members about broken equipment, necessary repairs, timelines, and costs
  • Service equipment upon return from job sites
  • Make major and minor repairs to equipment
  • Maintain log books of repairs
  • Complete required company training, including safety training
  • Perform administrative and lineman duties as needed
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must meet the requirements for Mechanic level I
  • Skilled in mechanical operations including welding, vehicle, and small equipment repair
  • CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain CDL permit within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to follow through on tasks
  • Possess a customer service attitude
  • Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to learn our standard processes and procedures
  • Desire to learn and commitment to doing quality work while prioritizing safety
  • Will be required to travel to job sites to perform repairs

Qualifications
