Mechanic

About the Role

A Mechanic will be responsible for shift coverage and therefore must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance. This would include Guest rooms, meeting space, Front-of-House areas, and Back-of-House (such as the kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.).

Responsibilities

• Provide shift coverage for maintenance needs across the property
• Troubleshoot and repair issues in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas
• Maintain and repair back-of-house systems including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems

Qualifications

• Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry at least 50 lbs
• A strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience with building maintenance is preferred
• Previous hotel or large property experience is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is preferred
• Good communication skills are necessary

Pay

Starting rate: $28.00 per hour
