Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day maintenance on stationary equipment, conveyors, and heavy equipment vehicles
• Performing all aspects of diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Assists senior mechanics
• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment
• Organized attention to detail
• Identify repairs that need to be made to equipment
• Rebuild/overhaul truck engines and transmissions
• Document troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair activities
• Communicate and coordinate tasks with Management
• Perform preventative maintenance such as changing oil, gear lubes, brake repair/replacement and clutch repair/replacement
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
• Estimates costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment operator
• Strong mechanical skills
• 5+ years of experience in Diesel Mechanic
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
