Mechanic
About the role
The Mechanic at Cascade Drilling, LP is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of trucks and equipment. Key responsibilities include reviewing repair requests, performing inspections, managing field tests, and keeping equipment in good working order.
Responsibilities
- Review and discuss repair requests with the Shop Manager
- Complete paperwork and maintain records for repairs and maintenance
- Perform 90 day and annual inspections on all drill rigs, trucks, trailers, and other equipment
- Diagnose physical conditions of equipment to ensure safety standards are met
- Manage and direct field testing for all completed work requests
- Keep track of vehicle downtime, fixes, and resolutions
- Requisition materials, parts, and supplies
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Document exceptions and forward to the Administrative Assistant
- Ensure compliance with safety practices, policies, procedures, and government regulations
Qualifications
- CDL A license
- Understanding of hydraulics, diesel engines, welding, and fabrication
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime and various shifts
- Knowledge of power/hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Computer competency
