Mechanic

Job Summary

Constructs, repairs, restores, and installs structural woodwork and related materials. Duties may include construction, demolition, framing, and drywall installation depending on assigned work area. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• 25% - Performs all tasks common to carpentry craft required to affect a complete installation of services. Performs appropriate tests and/or troubleshoots all systems/projects newly built.
• 25% - Reads, understands, and provides services as outlined on blueprints, architectural drawings, shop drawings, diagrams, sketches, etc.
• 20% - Properly uses assigned equipment. Practices all standard safety practices. Wears appropriate personal safety items when working with electrical saws, drills and other equipment.
• 15% - Proper notification of problems.
• 15% - Assists in maintaining and controlling ongoing inventory of materials and supplies necessary for millwork production and/or construction. Assists in maintaining records to ensure documentation for assigned projects is accurate.

Experience

Minimum Required: 5 years Operations-Carpenter Required.

Education

Minimum Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Preferred: 2 Years of Trade School in Related Field Preferred.
