Transdev in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced A-Level Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of engines across vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided by the company.
  • Must possess a mechanic’s tool set.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable.
  • Must comply with DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40, which does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings.

Competitive compensation package ranging from $25.50/hr to $31.75/hr.
