Mechanic-A
About the Role
Repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline industrial and submersible pumps. Positively represents the Company and maintains good relations with customers. Requires 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience and the ability to demonstrate duties and responsibilities of a Mechanic B.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and perform complete rebuilds on many different types of pumps (high head and specialty pumps)
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and programming of control panels
- Knowledge of pump systems: submersible, electric, and AODD (Air-Operated Double Diaphragm)
- Knowledge of pump system installation
- Knowledge of filtration; diagnose and repair all filtration equipment including sand media filters
- Identify and obtain repair parts, including local parts and parts from the company’s warehouse
- Demonstrate knowledge of up to five skills required for branch-specific work
- Complete paperwork and electronic documents as required by management
- Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
- Participate in the on-call rotation as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Skills
- Able to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Able to use a calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure/ruler
- Able to read a map, plan routes, and calculate distances
- Motivated, team player, safety-oriented, and customer service-oriented

- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Exposed to heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature
