About the role
We’re a growing, nationwide company, born and raised in Southcentral Pennsylvania, that has been creating delicious ice cream and beverages since 1931. We opened in Searcy Arkansas in 2020!
Responsibilities
- Performing repairs and preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of all plant process and materials handling equipment
- Repairing or maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment within the facility such as motors, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment
- Repairing or replacing defective parts using hand tools and power tools
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, sketches, and engineering drawings
- Suggesting improvements in work methods and procedures by communicating with workers, leaders, and supervisors
- Initiating purchase orders or work orders for parts, tools, and machines
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of two-year program from a vocational / technical school
- 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance
- Must work in a team environment
- Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch and break schedules
- Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines
- Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: Stand and walk in an manufacturing environment for 8+ hours. Ascend and descend stairs. Position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks. Inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment. Operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required. Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus. Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.

- Ability to communicate effectively with workers, leaders, and supervisors
- Knowledge of GMP regulations and safety guidelines
