MECH TECH N 3 (SHEET METAL)
The Role
Must Have:
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Experience with welding and cutting processes
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and CAD systems
Nice to Have:
- Experience with advanced sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Understanding of naval shipbuilding standards and regulations
- Design and fabricate sheet metal components according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate various sheet metal fabrication machines and tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with naval shipbuilding standards
- Perform quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure accuracy and durability
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Valid US Citizenship
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience with advanced sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of naval shipbuilding standards and regulations
- Strong problem-solving abilities
