About the role

Responsible for installing, modifying, and repairing new and existing piping systems and equipment. Pipefitters work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out the routing, placement, pitch, elevation, pressure reduction, expansion, and operation of various piping systems and equipment.

• Install, modify, and repair systems by setting up system routes, placing and cutting route openings, installing hangers at proper pitch and elevation.
• Determine and install risers, branch outlets, expansion joints, pumps, gauges, and pressure regulators to ensure proper system operation.
• Install equipment by planning and completing the routing and placement of systems leading to the equipment, determining and placing the equipment at proper elevations and points in the systems.
• Join, seal, and test systems and equipment for proper pressures, leak-free joints, and operation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Apprentice graduate/Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 1 year of related experience.
• May require certification.
• U.S. Citizenship required for this position.
